Luna Al-Mousli
She was born in 1990, brought up in Damascus, and now lives and works as an author, graphic designer and initiator of projects with the focus on education and integration in Vienna.
She earned her masters degree in graphic design from the University of Applied Arts and received a scholarship which entitled her to become the chairwoman of START-Alumni. In this role, Luna has until recently been responsible for the START-Scholarship program for gifted students with migration background. The social project TANMU-educational training for young refugees has met an enormous positive response. It helped creating an efficient and integration-promoting educational program in a time of the refugee crisis.
As an activist and interpreter, Luna worked closely with the Riahi Brothers Arash and Arman on the multiply awarded Cross Media Documentation project „Everyday Rebellion“. Thus, her active involvement was published on ARTE in Le Monde Arabe. Luna’s accomplishments were within the scope of literature, art and Actionism with a central focus on specific individuals, their stories, and diverse needs. This approach promises a ready acceptance for the new.
